The village of Porto da Cruz is located on the north coast of Madeira Island, between the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. The beaches in Porto da Cruz are especially suitable for beginner surfers, as they are the only ones with volcanic black sand with surfable waves.
Madeira Surf Camp is surrounded by banana plantations, vineyards, yet it is only 15 km from the International Airport and 30 km from the center of Funchal. The village of Porto da Cruz still preserves its traditions, with a relaxed lifestyle and a very hospitable local culture. The beach and all necessary services are just a few meters from the Surf Camp.
Just like any other hostel, it has shared and double private rooms. All guests and surfers have unrestricted access to all areas of the house, from the terrace, to the equipped kitchen, living room with free WiFi and other amenities.
